Recall Update: April 19, 2007

USA TODAY is reporting that Natural Balance is recalling two pet foods that they have found contains melamine and they suspect the cause is Rice Protein Concentrate. Along with the previous issue of wheat gluten in several products we want our customers to know that the products they purchase bearing our brand names are not at issue.

Are Stewart Pet Treat Products at issue? No, All Stewart Pet Treat Products (Fiber Formula Dog Biscuits, Fiber Formula Cat Treats, Obey Training Treats, Rice and Lamb Flavored Treats, and Cat and Dog Flavor Enhancer) are treats that do not contain Rice Protein Concentrate. Our formulations are unique and are not common formulations that are branded or private-labeled by various companies under different labels.

Are MiracleCorp Products Treats at issue? Just as with the Stewart Pet Treats our MiracleCorp Products (Trim Treats for Cats, Obey Training Treats, and Trim Treats for Dogs) are also treats which do not contain Rice Protein Concentrate
